The year 2009 in fashion opened (or maybe better to say “reopened”) the new style of women jeans and gave’em a new name – “the boyfriend jeans”. They say that the name came after Kate Holmes appeared in bottom turned up jeans. Some journalists and fashion analysts decided that she had borrowed them from Tom Cruise. Was it really so, or she just decided to give up her skinny and fitted ones but the new trend has got its “the boyfriend jeans” name immediately.
So, for those who wants to look fashionable wearing jeans here are some important features of this new trend.
At first, let’s speak about the colors. Shades or gray and brown are very fashionable this season. Black jeans consider to be stylish only if being worn with rich color tops like red. Blue denim is traditionally popular in spring 2009 too.

The next thing to consider is about appropriate shoes and stylish accessories. Jewelry is considered to be almost the necessary part of your style. It helps you to look more womanlike that is so important while wearing “the boyfriend jeans”. Designer belts can also add some femininity to you appearance. Check Dolce and Gabbana belts on sale at Forever Fashion store. High heels will be the most befitting but also you can wear a pair of gladiators or pumps.
Also it’s very important to choose the most appropriate top or t-shirt. As “the boyfriend jeans” are loose and even oversized tops have to be tight. This guarantees the pure fashionable balance and harmony.

Not a fan of skinny jeans at all, for a start most don’t fit me because I must have large thighs.
Tried a pair on in Topman a few weeks ago and the only ones I could get my legs through had a 36in waist yet I am a 32in waist!
I think skinny jeans is just a phase and will die out eventually.
